Costume Cuties - sneak peek {2011 Costume Charity Shootout}

Once again, this year's Costume Charity Shootout was a total sucess and was so much fun to be a part of!!  It was a little crazy this year because I had to leave early from the shootout to meet family who flew in from across the country and we headed out of town for a week!!  I know I missed a few of you and I'm so sorry!!  Everyone looked great and it was so much fun to spend a few mintues with each of you and your kiddos.  Here's a sneak peek of your cuties!!! Thank you for coming and supporting a wonderful cause!  Many families were so grateful for your donations!  Enjoy!

The M Sisters - sneak peek {Johnson City TN Photographer}

I'm not quite sure where to start... but let me just say, I could literally take pictures of these gorgeous gals every single day of my life.  They're so laid back, funny and do I even have to mention BEAUTIFUL??!!  Would you believe me if I told you these are sisters?  And yes from the same two parents!! haha!  I love how they look so different from eachother - hair, eye and even skin tones, none the same!  Love it!!!!  You may recognize them from their session back in April of last year, which you can see {HERE}.  They did this session to surprise their parents and grandparents for Christmas.  Talk about an amazing gift right?  What mother wouldn't just die when she opens a large gallery wrap of one of these?  They wanted a country feel for the session - to go with their Mom's new home decor and I think they turned out just perfect.  Thanks again for an awesome session ladies!!!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

The next couple shots are some fun ones of their "sister rings" - a gift from their Mama before her and their dad moved out of the state.  The amethyst stones (purple) represent happiness.  They knew their Mom would love incorporating the rings into a couple pictures and I love these next two!!

The C Family - sneak peek {Bristol, VA Family Photographer}

I am so glad that Mom gave me a call a couple weeks ago to book this session... I could tell just from talking with her on the phone that I would love her!  And I was right!!  What a sweet family.  I enjoyed every second I was able to spend with them.  The weather was perfect and the lighting was amazing in their gorgeous backyard.  Mr. R is such a cutie - check out those baby blue eyes and the adorable cow costume!!!!  Love it!  Enjoy your sneak peek and thanks again for a wonderful session C Family!!

heidi - sneak peek {kingsport, tn family photographer}

I love this chunky monkey and her opposite of chunky mama!!!!  I met Stacie not long after we moved out here (she works with my hubby) and she has sent several awesome clients my way - but can you believe that this is her first official session with me??  I did a Valentine's Mini Session back in Feb. of Miss Heidi and she also came to the Cotume Charity Shootout last year when Heidi was just a newborn, but never a full session with her adorable family.  I'm so glad we finally got to it!!!  I loved hanging with them - Daddy and Mommy are so sweet with Heidi and she is a KICK!!  She's not lacking in the personality department... I loved it!!  Speaking of kicks - can you tell how much I was lovin' her baby Toms??  I didn't even know they made Toms that small!!  And you know we had a to get a shot of Mommy's too!  {Never heard of Toms?  Check them out HERE}  She got pretty tired by the time we made it to the second location, but she hung in there.  And of course the second I put my lens cap on, she was all smiles - little stinker.  =)  Thanks for an AWESOME session guys - you rock!!! Enjoy your sneak peek.

reed & kyra - sneak peek {Tri-Cities TN Children's Photographer}

Do you recognize Mr. Reed's adorable face??  He's been on the blog a few times now - from the time he was just a teeny newborn.  Is he cute or what??  I told his Mama (who might I just say - I LOVE to death!!) that he keeps getting cuter and cuter each time I see him!!  Reed and Kyra are cousins and boy does Kyra love her "Baby Reed".  She was so sweet with him!  Their MeMe wanted to get some shots of the two of them together and a couple with her.  Sounds easy enough right??  Well think again my friend!!  We forgot that we were dealing with a 2 year old here!! Haha!  Kyra was awesome but again, she' two - and taking pictures can be hard!!  We still managed to have an awesome time and get some adorable shots of the two of them (together and seperately).  Thanks for a super fun evening (and workout!! haha)!!  Enjoy the sneak peek guys!!

Red, White and Cute - sneak peek {johnson city tn photographer}

It touched my heart to watch Katie and Eric with their sweet angel.  I hope Miss Ellianna knows how lucky she is to have such awesome parents!!  She didn't give me too many smiles, but she was such a happy girl - especially for just having surgery a couple days ago!  I'm so happy I was able to meet this family and spend some time with them this evening.  Dad was the most sweet and polite guy I've ever met.  He just returned home from Afghanistan... I can't imagine how happy he must have been to see his beautiful girls.  I love that Mom brought the cutest patriotic outfit I've ever seen for Ellianna... loved it.  Thanks again guys, enjoy your sneak peek!

perfectly sweet - sneak peek {johnson city tn family photographer}

Mama and I tried for this session about a hundred times before finally making it work today.  There were sick kiddos, thunderstorms and both her and I going out of town... You name it.  Well one thing's for sure: there were NO thunderstorms today!  I swear it was at least 100 degrees.  The kiddos were SUCH great sports though and we had fun despite the insane heat and the annoying bugs!!  Seriously - are these not the cutest kids EVER???  I wanted to take them home with me!!!  And they were so sweet too... April is an amazing Mom.  I can tell just from watching her interact with her precious girls.  I don't know how she does it!!  I just loved both her and her girls.  How do I get so lucky to have the coolest clients in the world???

** I also just LOVE when my clients have a similar style to mine.  Aren't the girls outfits adorable (and Mom's too of course)??  LOVED them.  Loved everything (except for the heat).  Enjoy your sneak peek and thanks for a fun session today!!!

malcolm & kerry - sneak peek {Jonesborough TN Photographer}

This was such a special opportunity for me.  Malcolm and Kerry eloped today in downtown Jonesborough.  The only people there besides me were the bride and groom of course, the officiator and a witness.  The weather was amazing - HOT, but I'm not complaining!!!  The ceremony was short and sweet and the officiator was the cutest and kindest man ever.   Afterwards we walked around downtown taking pictures and then the couple took off for a night in Asheville, NC.  I'm so happy for the two of them.  Their love for each other is so obvious and sweet.  I enjoyed spending some time with you two today and hope you enjoy your sneak peek!!

**  This was not a wedding (in terms of sessions) - it was booked as a regular session.  I am no longer shooting weddings at this time, however if you're interested in doing a session (roughly 2 hours) either before or after the big day - it's a great way to get some beautiful shots without the stress and time constraints that usually come with the day of, just contact me!

the G family - sneak peek {johnson city tn family photographer}

Lori called me back in November wanting to book a family session for Christmas cards.  I told her I was completely booked and leaving for California soon.  As I'm telling her all this I could almost hear her disappointment and so I squeezed in a mini session a couple days before I was scheduled to leave for Christmas.  Of course everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong.  It snowed, Miss Ella got really sick, I was swamped with orders and editing and packing and life.... long story short, we never had the session!!!  But amidst all the back and forth emails, texts and calls a friendship blossomed.  It was like I knew this girl from somewhere... and she knew me.  It was meant to be. So months later, FINALLY, FINALLY we got our session.  The lighting was perfect and the weather was amazing.  Miss Ella was all decked out in Matilda Jane, of course Lori Miss Fashionista looked amazing, and don't worry Dad - you looked good too!!  They were all relaxed, happy and real.  It was great.  A big thanks to their awesome friends for coming along to help out too!!!  Thanks G Family and enjoy your sneak peek =)

The B Family - sneak peek {east tennessee family photographer}

You may recognize this super sweet & adorable little guy from his newborn session not too long ago... it was so fun to see this awesome family again this evening!!  I love how relaxed and "up for anything" they are.  Anytime I ask them a question they just say, "Sure!  Whatever you think!"  We had to reschedule oh I don't know, about 57 times or so before finally getting together tonight - but today was the day!!  The weather was perfect and Mr. Reed was feeling much better from being sick last week.  All went well!  Thanks again guys - I love hanging out with you - makes me feel like I'm not working at all!  Enjoy your sneak peek!
