How did I get so lucky? As I was driving home from the session this evening I was thinking about all my clients. I have never had a single one that I didn't truly love! And these two just topped it off! Not only did we have a fun engagement session out on Mom & Dad's ranch in Elizabethton TN, but we got to go 4-wheeling up a mountain! These two were so relaxed and sweet with eachother... just downright good people. They even filled up one of my tires that was low and gave me some local honey for my out-of-control allergies! You guys were amazing!! Too bad the rain cut us a bit short, but we still got lots of wonderful shots. Enjoy your sneak peek... I can't wait for the big day!!!
Wedding season has officially begun!! This past Saturday Vanessa and Robert tied the knot at The International Storytelling Center in Jonesborough TN. That morning the rain was pouring and I was feeling nervous (but probably not as nervous as Vanessa!!). But a couple hours before the ceremony, the sun broke through the clouds and it actually got HOT - and humid, but beautiful! I had SUCH a great time following this fun couple as well as their family and friends around all day/evening. I feel so privileged to have been a part of their special day. What an awesome group of people! And such an obvious love for eachother... There are tons and tons of pictures to go through, but here are some of my favorites to tide everyone over while you wait for the rest. My wonderfully talented sister, Rashauna recently started up a cupcake and cake design business: Sprinkles & Such (site still in progress). I've been lucky enough to be her constant sampler... tasting all of the cute and tasty concoctions she comes up with. I must admit - I'm a diagnosed foodie - whatever that means. And possibly even more than I love eating food, I love LOVE looking at (good) pictures of food. I think that's why I love magazines so much. Speaking of amazing pictures of food, a great site to check out is The Pioneer Woman. {think: photography, recipes, good reads, gardening etc.} She's hilariously honest and just basically awesome. I'm getting off track...
The other day I took some shots of my sis in action. She was making cupcakes for a baby shower. I'm thinking a giveaway for some free cupcakes is in order. {I'm also thinking I should run that by her first}. So stay tuned!! Meanwhile - enjoy drooling over this.... I know I am.
I just finished all of Vanessa's bridals and absolutely could NOT decide on favorites (seriously, what's new?) so there are lots... but I just can't resist this fun and beautiful gal and her SUPER cute shoes - as well as all that purple purple purple!! The lighting was a photographers dream so there were no limits... I wish every day had lighting like that!! CLIENT NOTE: Contrary to what you might think, overcast days are the best for photographing. The diffused light is flattering and even, compared to the harshness of bright, full-sun. Enjoy!!
Can you guess what Vanessa's most favorite color in the whole wide world is?? This was SUCH a fun shoot! I love when my clients are up for anything and just have fun with it... You'll be seeing lots more of this beautiful face because I'm shooting her wedding THIS weekend! I can't wait! I'm glad that we were able to squeeze in this fun bridal session. This is my absolutely beautiful and gorgeous siter-in-law. We were on vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC and I snapped a few maternity shots one evening. We waited a bit too long, so there wasn't much light left - but we still got some cute ones. I can't wait to take pics of their little girl when she arrives!!! Here are a few favorites...
