Kristi at 18 months - sneak peek {Bristol, VA Children's Photographer}

I am also the lucky aunt to this cutie pa-toot-ie!!!  I forget what a challenging age this is to photograph... she gave us a run for our money, that's for sure - but thankfully my two oldest kiddos were there to help catch her attention for split seconds at a time or I don't know if we would have gotten any!  She simply loves my daughter...   We love having her in our lives and it's been such a joy watching her grow up into a sweet and silly little girl!  Enjoy...

John at 6 months - sneak peek {Kingsport TN Photographer}

Mmmmm is there anything better than a squishy baby???  I can't think of too many things...  This guy sure has grown since his newborn session back in August {which you can see by clicking HERE}.  I'm the lucky lady who gets to call him nephew, so his mom didn't freak out when I grabbed him and gave him kisses all over.  John has the sweetest personality and it wasn't hard to get the smiles out of him.  I think six to eight months is one of my favorite ages to photograph.  They can usually sit up - but can't quite crawl away from me, they smile at everything and they're all chubby and squishy!!  Perfection.  Enjoy these adorable pictures...  Love this little guy!!

Catching up... {East Tennessee Photographer}

If you check out the post below you'll see that I really do have a legitimate excuse for being a slacker right now... going from two kiddos to three leaves me with WAY less time to sit in peace and quiet editing pictures late into the night.  Instead I've been feeding a cute little baby and getting every bit of sleep I can manage!!

I usually always do my editing late at night after the kids go to bed because I don't like to do it while I'm with them during the day.  I'd never want them to look back on their childhood and their only memories of me be with my eyes glued to the computer day in and day out.  After all, one of the things I love about being a photographer is that it enables me to stay home and raise my babies and still do what I love at the same time!!  It's always a struggle trying to find that perfect balance between "mommy" and "business owner" - but I'm constantly working at it!  That's what matters right?  Life is forever a work in progress...

With it being slow season right now (thank goodness!!), I've been trying to edit some personal pictures that always get put on the backburner.  These are some fun ones I took of my daughter while we were out in California for Thanksgiving.  Wow - I really am a slacker.  Better late than never right??

I love every sweet and crazy part of this girl...

My Newest Addition {Tri Cities TN Newborn Photographer}

On January 6th - which also happens to be my birthday - I was given one of the greatest gifts of all... a sweet, innocent little newborn baby.  Getting him here was definitely NOT a gift, but of course it's all worth it in the end.  Any mother knows what I mean.  The indescribable feeling when you're handed this precious little person for the first time.  It amazes me how fast they grow... I'm so glad that I was able to snag a few shots while he was still super new.  Somehow three weeks have flown by without me even knowing it!  Thank goodness my mom was here to help with the session because it was a fiasco!!  My 4 year old was having a total and complete mental breakdown, I was tired and still recovering and we were all adjusting to life with a new baby!!  As I shared earlier though, somehow we managed to get one awesome shot that I am SOOOO happy and grateful for!!  I felt like I had a glimpse into what my clients must feel when they see images of the important people in their lives for the first time... All I could think about was getting that picture on. my. wall. asap!!!  (And you better believe it already is!!)

Anyways, this is my new little man and his awesome big sister and brother!!!  I love them each to PEICES!!

My "plan" is to get him into the studio again for some more newborn pictures... but we'll see how that goes.  I have tons of adorable boy hats I wanted to get him into and didn't get a chance!!

<3 A Stack of Love <3 - Kingsport, TN Photographer

I'm going to keep the writing to a minimal - mainly because I should really be sleeping instead of posting this picture, but I just can't help it.  I'm in love.  I've had a wish granted!!  It was crazy and I wish I had a video of what went on behind the scenes, but I was somehow lucky enough to capture this image of my three beautiful children... The top little bundle arrived last Friday and has been such a joy.  I can't wait to get this blown up as huge as possible on a gallery wrap.  I can't think of anything better.  Enjoy... =)

Mr. M - sneak peek {Johnson City TN Photographer}

This was Mr. M's second time in the studio this year - you can see his session from February {HERE} .  The last go-round he was not in the mood for pictures, so I was curious to see how this time would go.  The second they walked in the studio door he jumped into my arms and gave me a hug!!  Off to a good start!  He didn't last too long, but long enough to catch some adorable shots of him... he's such a cutie pie!!!  He was clapping, dancing and blowing kisses the whole time!  Thanks for a fun time guys - it was so great to see you again!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

The Z Family 2011 - sneak peek {East Tennessee Photographer}

You might recognize the beautiful family from last year - right around this time...  It was almost like deja vu... it was freezing, everyone's eyes were watering, downtown Johnson City location, hints of red... {Click HERE to see their sneak peek from last year}  This year was better though because it rained BEFORE the session and not DURING!  Mama is one of my good friends who no longer lives here and this was a very special session.  Her hubby is leaving for Pakistan for a year - so these pictures with Daddy will be very cherished.  I love this family and am so happy I had the chance to capture them today!  Enjoy your sneak peek =)

The S Family and Baby C - sneak peek {Kingsport, TN Photographer}

I have said it once and I'll say it again - I love when clients bring their own ideas/props/personality into their sessions.  Mama came with a whole bag of apples and a matching hat (along with loads of other fun goodies)!!!!  How cute is that??  I think they are my favorite images...  You may recognize Mom, Dad and sister from their family session last September - which you can see {HERE}.  Sister has grown so much, and so has their family as they just welcomed baby #2 a few days ago!!  Thanks for a great session guys, enjoy your sneak peek!

M Family 2011 - sneak peek {Bristol, VA Family Photographer}

These beautiful faces grace my blog quite often... Mama is one of my bff's and her kids are basically my kids too.  Tonight they were actually acting like my kids - haha!!  They were not in the mood for pictures, they just wanted to play!!  I tried all the tricks I could think of and we still had a good time and managed to get a few good shots.  I sure love this family!!  Enjoy your sneak peek guys...

The M Family - sneak peek {Kingsport TN Family Photographer}

I was so excited to see the M family tonight for many reasons, but one of them is because they were one of my first official Tennessee clients - and this is my THIRD year taking their family pictures!!  It has been such a joy watching the kiddos grow and change...  They are such an awesome family!!  To see their sneak peek from last fall and how much they've changed, click {HERE}.

This was my first time shooting in downtown Kingsport, believe it or not, and we had a blast!  I love downtown settings - they're great for kids because we walk, stop for a bit, take a couple shots, then move along.  It keeps them happy to stay on the move.  I also love it because there are so many beautiful and unique backdrops in one overall location.  Perfect!  Thank you for a very fun and relaxed session M Family!!  Enjoy your sneak peek!!!
